Nautilus Hacking

What I want is Nautilus to use a .thumbnails directory on a remote directory, in the remote directory.  So I don't know, it might do that but I have seen any info on it ? arg.  If I make a thumbnail directory what would need to be the name of it ? Arg.

Talks about a script that makes thumbnails... might be useful.
