From WwwSo you have an application that LDAP enabled, but it isn't working with your LDAP directory ? Because LDAP can have multiple differnet attributes, they can also have the wrong, or attributes with different names. Ie. You application could be looking for "login" attribute, but in your LDAP directory you used the "UserName" attribute! As Microsoft is know to do, the use their own attributes in their version of LDAP, Active Directory. So some applications are able to work with that when they are able to work with others. Ubuntu has a number of packages that are ldap enabled, which I would guess are configured to use the correct attributes for the service. |
