Notes about Audacity,

  • You may need to add 'lame' to enable the ability of Audicity to work with MP3 files.
  • Fomats, there are ALOT of Audio formats.  If you can you should use OGG for your compressed sound files.  And WAV or FLAC for your uncompressed Audio formats
  • A user reported problems with Monitoring your recording as your recorded.
  • I used version 1.3.4, which is a beta, there are a few differences, one known one is there is not counters on the bottom of the window.
  • Audacity doesn't seem to have the ability to create surround sound, or doby digital ?
I am sure I missed some, but that is what I remember for now!
